Income Tax Rates unchanged
Small increase in Employee tax credit (formerly PAYE allowance)
PRSI ceiling increased
PRSI introduced on "Benefits in Kind" - e.g. company cars, club subscriptions, Christmas Gifts etc
Annual mortgage relief for first time buyers increased

Indirect Taxes               

12.5% Vat rate goes to 13.5%  
Excise Duty increases for alcopops, cigarettes, spirits, and Diesel
Big increases in Stamp duty on credit cards,  Laser and ATM cards

Companies                    

Standard rate of corporation tax reduced from 16% to 12.5%

Property Taxes             

2004 deadline confirmed for Rural & Urban Renewal Schemes  

Holiday Home tax incentives scrapped

Hotel tax incentives curbed
